Takah were only rediscovered in 1948 and remain among our rarest birds. Thanks to high flyers like the chicks in this video, takah can once again roam the Murchison Mountains in Fiordland. Meet the Locals is a partnership between DOC and TVNZ 6 and is distributed by Bush Telly with permission.
